James E. Curlee Jr., PMP

Founder & CEO

Major Construction Solutions (MCS) is founded and led by James E. Curlee Jr., PMP, a retired U.S. Army Engineer Officer and construction program leader with more than 20 years of experience delivering complex federal construction and infrastructure projects. Throughout his career, Mr. Curlee has led multidisciplinary teams and managed construction programs valued at more than $100 million, supporting agencies such as the Department of Defense, U.S. Coast Guard, and National Park Service. His leadership experience spans both military and private-sector construction environments, providing a deep understanding of the planning, coordination, and discipline required to successfully execute federal projects.

This experience directly shapes how MCS approaches project delivery. The company operates with a systems-driven management approach built on proven federal contracting practices—emphasizing safety, disciplined planning, proactive communication, risk management, and strict adherence to contract requirements. MCS leadership prioritizes clear accountability, strong stakeholder engagement, and effective coordination across project teams to ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
